at this moment i’m feeling exhausted
from my early-bird toddler who
surprise! is up oh so early
wakeups are moving backwards, not forwards
6:00 a.m. – those were the haydays
then 5:30…5:00…now 4:30 a.m.!
that last one, ugh – too early
ready and raring to go, regardless.
[sigh…yawn…rub my bleary eyes…]
at this moment, sleepily wondering why

How sweet. I know you are exhausted right now but there will come a day that you will miss it 🙂 it goes by so fast!

I know I will miss this time…I keep reminding myself. At 4:30 a.m. though, it’s hard to be so sure. 🙂

4:30! Oh up before the sun. Someone needs a nap today, and the little one too. 🙂
Do as I do, and just keep reminding yourself that in 10+ years we’ll be dragging them out of bed.
Mel Gallant
Alas, no nap today but there will be naps this weekend. Oh yes, naps are scheduled for entire family this weekend. 🙂

“Minute by minute by minute by minute I keep holding on.” Forgive my Doobie Brothers reference!

LOL – my favourite Doobie Brothers song is ‘Blackwater’.
“I’d like to hear some funky Dixieland, pretty mama come and take me by the hand…”
Reminds me of my childhood. 🙂

Yawn!!! Here’s hoping you make it to at the very least 6 o’clock this weekend. Sleep torture by toddler is cruelty 😉

5:40 a.m. this morning but i’ll take it over 4:30 a.m. any day.

Some toddler predilections cannot be explained.
Wanting to be awake early? Crazy.
(My kids do exactly that, too.)
Today? My baby did not nap.
Dozed off, then awake. Again! Again!
So many ways to be exhausted… 🙂
