ordinarily, if asked i would say
New Year’s resolutions aren’t for me.
my philosophy being you should act
if you want to achieve something,
regardless the time of year/season.
to continue creative pursuits already underway
to keep momentum going, no slacking!
yes this year, i am resolved.

It’s Six Word Fridays 2011! Check out the meme-action at Making Things Up. Lot of good reads of the six-word variety there.

creative pursuits are pursuits worth pursuing-especially with momentum.
Nice post!

I like the way that you played with the word resolved. It has so many interesting meanings. You emphasized the meaning of dedication and focus, which is exactly what is missing from most people’s New Year’s resolutions.
I love the photo, BTW! Happy New Year!

Thanks Molly, I really enjoyed your post too. Good reminders to not be ruled by a desire to battle for resolution all the time.

A great resolution — and we can all remind you not to slack off!

actions speak louder than words, YES! One reason I also shy away from resolutions, I want my actions to speak for themselves, but sometimes it’s good to just put it out there!
